Reishi Plug Spawn
Our plug spawn is grown on 5/16" wooden white birch dowels. Plug spawn may be ordered in increments of 100, 300, and 1000 plugs. For details on how to use your plug spawn to grow mushrooms in logs see our Mushroom Log Cultivation page.

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), a Japanese Reishi mushroom, or Lingzhi is renowned for its medicinal healing properties. Reishi can be made into a pleasant tea or used for tinctures and soups. With all Ganoderma species, short inoculated logs can be placed vertically in plant pots and buried with sand and/or gravel. Another method is to bury the entire log horizontally and cover it with sawdust, sand, and/or gravel. Reishi prefers warmer fruiting temperatures around 70-80ºF.
