How to order from Fungaia Farm

You may place an order with Fungaia Farm by using the online store, by calling us (707-444-3799) or by meeting us in person at a workshop or fair.

Online order

Please fully complete the online order form.  Valid contact information (an email address or phone number) is required to ensure we can contact you with regard to your order.  Errors or omissions in the online order form may lead to delays or cancellations.  If you need to correct information on your order form after submitting the form, please contact us immediately by emailing (fungaiafarm@gmail.com) or calling (707-444-3799). If we receive requests for changes prior to processing and shipping, we will try our best to accommodate your requests.

Payment for online orders is handled through Paypal, a secure third-party online payment site.  After completing your order form on our website, you will be redirected to the Paypal site to enter your payment information.  You may pay using a Visa, Discover, MasterCard or American Express credit card, or a Paypal account.

Note that many products on our site are grown to order and may require a minimum order.  Expect these products to take 3 – 6 weeks before shipping.

Phone orders

Phone orders may be placed by calling (707) 444-3799.  If we are not available, please leave your name and number and we will return your call as soon as possible.  Orders left on voicemail will not be processed prior to talking with you directly.  Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 -  5 PM Pacific Time.  Note that as a small, family-run business, we do not always have “operators standing by,” but we are still excited for your call.

Phone orders may be paid for using money orders or cashiers’ checks made out to Fungaia Farm. If desired, we can alternatively send a Paypal invoice to a valid email address which can be paid using a Visa, Discover, MasterCard or American Express credit card, or a Paypal account.  We will also accept local personal checks, though please review our Personal Check Policy below.  

In-person orders

We often present about mushroom cultivation and remediation techniques at workshops and sustainability or craft fairs.  We may have our line of “grow-your-own” mushroom kits and plug spawn for sale at these fairs and be able to take orders for other products as well.  All orders must be paid for in advance.  In-person, we will accept cash, money orders, cashiers’ checks or local personal checks.  Please see our Personal Check Policy below.  When placing an order in person, please supply the desired shipping information and valid contact information (email or phone number) in case we need to contact you regarding your order. 

Personal Check Policy

When providing a personal check for either a phone order or in-person order, please write your order number on your check and ensure that shipping costs are included in your total. Both your order number and total cost should be provided when you place your order.  Make your checks out to Fungaia Farm.

Only local personal checks will be accepted. Personal checks may be held for up to 10 business days before shipping your order while the bank processes funds. If a check is returned with insufficient funds (bounced checks), the order will not be shipped until the original order cost is paid in addition to a $30 insufficient funds fee.

Processing and Shipping

We are a small, family-run business, which means most of our products will need to be grown to order. Most products that are “grown to order” will take between 3 – 6 weeks to produce.  As indicated on the product pages, some species of plug spawn will only be grown for orders of at least 1000 plugs.

Any products that are available in stock will be processed and shipped out within 3 working days.  If any in-stock products are backordered or delayed, we will contact you by phone or email.  Shipping rates will vary based on your chosen shipping method.

Fungaia Farm ships through the United States Postal Service (USPS) and UPS (Note: UPS requires a physical address and cannot ship to a PO box). When making a purchase online, your shipping options will be calculated based on the shipping address, volume and weight of your order.  When placing an order in person or over the phone, we will calculate the shipping charges prior to finalizing your order and providing you with a total cost.  We typically offer ground shipping. We do not process international orders or orders shipped to Hawaii at this time.
